We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Accountant to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Controller, you will support a wide range of accounting and financial activities that help ensure the accuracy, integrity, and effectiveness of Rhino's financial operations. From financial reporting and reconciliations to budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and fixed asset accounting, you will play a key role in supporting informed business decisions and maintaining strong financial controls.

Financial Planning, Analysis & Cash Management

  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis by evaluating business performance, monitoring variances, and providing insights to support decision-making.
  • Prepare cash flow forecasts and liquidity reports, partnering with finance and cross-functional teams to support effective financial planning and resource management.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, leverage technology, and enhance operational efficiency.

Fixed Assets & Capital Management

  • Manage fixed asset accounting activities, including tracking capital expenditures, maintaining asset records, monitoring work-in-progress projects, recording depreciation and amortization, and coordinating asset disposals.
  • Partner with operational teams to ensure capital investments are accurately recorded and properly capitalized.

Insurance, Credit & Business Support

  • Support insurance administration, including annual renewals, policy documentation, and insurance verification requests.
  • Assist with customer credit reviews, credit limit recommendations, and collection activities for accounts that fall outside payment terms.
  • Maintain ERP master data requirements for new raw materials and finished goods and provide financial support to business initiatives as needed.

Requirements

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of accounting or finance experience.
  • CPA certification preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to communicate financial information clearly and effectively.
  • Strong proficiency with financial systems, spreadsheets, and data analysis.
  • Ability to prioritize work, manage multiple deadlines, and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Collaborative approach and willingness to learn, share knowledge, and support teammates.
  • Ability to manage projects and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
